Travel Pharmacist in Fredericksburg, VA

A Travel Inpatient Pharmacist Registered Pharmacist will support inpatient medication management in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The department serves neonates through geriatrics, averages 330 to 360 patients, and works in a Level II trauma center with Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Review inpatient medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness
• Perform complex medication reconciliation and document therapy updates
• Recommend and implement therapy changes with the care team
• Verify IV medications and support sterile compounding workflows
• Monitor pharmacotherapy plans, including dose adjustments and high-alert medications
• Provide medication education and clinical support across adult and pediatric patients

• Virginia pharmacist license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy
• 1 year of inpatient or acute care experience
• Epic charting experience
• IV medication, compounding, and sterile technique skills

• ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency
• Computerized hospital pharmacy experience
• Pyxis and Carousel System experience
• Anticoagulation, renal, cardiac, pediatric, geriatric, and warfarin dosing experience
