Travel Pediatrics RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Pediatrics Registered Nurse will care for infants, children, and adolescents in a children’s hospital pediatric unit on a 16-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit has 35 beds, an average daily census of 27, and a 1:3-5 ratio. Epic charting is used, and the unit is a Level II pediatric trauma center.

• Assess and monitor pediatric patients
• Administer medications and manage oxygen and respiratory support
• Support feedings, breast milk handling, and hyperbilirubinemia care
• Care for central and implanted lines
• Interpret rhythms and respond to patient changes
• Maintain isolation precautions and infection control

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 1 year of pediatric med-surg experience
• Epic charting system experience
• BiPAP/CPAP management, breast milk handling, central and implanted line care, feeding support, and rhythm interpretation

• Teaching hospital experience
