Travel Pediatrics RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Pediatrics Registered Nurse will provide care for pediatric patients in a children’s hospital on a 16-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit serves infants, children and adolescents, has 35 beds, averages 27 patients daily, uses Epic, and is in a Level II pediatric trauma center. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide bedside care for infants, children and adolescents
• Monitor vital signs, intake and output, and clinical status
• Assist with feedings, breast milk handling and nutrition support
• Support respiratory care, oxygen delivery and BiPAP or CPAP management
• Care for central lines, isolated patients and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Collaborate with the pediatric care team to coordinate daily treatment plans

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS
• 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Pediatric MedSurg skills with BiPAP or CPAP management, oxygen delivery systems, central line care, feedings, breastfeeding support, hyperbilirubinemia, dysrhythmia interpretation and isolation precautions
