Travel Pediatrics RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Pediatric Registered Nurse will provide care for infants, children, and adolescents in a children’s hospital in Lubbock, Texas on a 16-week contract. First-time travelers are welcome; the unit uses Epic, has 35 beds, and typical ratios are 1:3-5.

• Provide bedside care for pediatric patients across the unit
• Assess respiratory status, feeding tolerance, and oxygen needs
• Administer medications and maintain central and implanted line care
• Support BiPAP and CPAP use as directed
• Monitor for dysrhythmias and respond to changes in condition
• Use isolation precautions and infection control practices

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS
• 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• BiPAP and CPAP management, central line care, feedings, oxygen delivery, and dysrhythmia interpretation

• Teaching hospital experience
