Travel Pediatrics RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Pediatrics Registered Nurse will care for infants, children, and adolescents in a children’s hospital level II pediatric trauma unit during a 16-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The 35-bed unit averages 27 patients daily, uses Epic, and welcomes first-time travelers.

• Assess pediatric patients and update care plans
• Administer medications and ordered treatments
• Monitor respiratory status and support oxygen delivery systems
• Provide feedings and manage breast milk handling
• Care for central and implanted lines
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to changes in condition
• Document care in Epic and coordinate with the care team

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS
• 1 year of pediatric MedSurg experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with pediatric respiratory support, line care, feedings, and isolation precautions

• Teaching hospital experience
