Travel PACU RN in Spokane, WA

A Travel PACU Registered Nurse will provide post-anesthetic care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Spokane, Washington. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in a 12-bed PACU with a 1:2 ratio and about 20 daily patients. Epic charting is used in a teaching, level II trauma and pediatric trauma center.

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia
• Assess airway status, vital signs, and sedation level
• Manage pain, nausea, and immediate post-op comfort
• Support Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Collaborate with surgery and anesthesia teams
• Prepare patients for safe discharge from recovery

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 1 year of PACU experience
• Pre-op, Phase I PACU, and Phase II recovery experience
• IV skills and charting system experience
• Arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition, blood product administration, central line care, ventilated patient care, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, malignant hyperthermia response, pain assessment, and PCA pump management
