Travel PACU RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel PACU Registered Nurse will provide post-anesthesia recovery care in a hospital in Anchorage, Alaska for a 13-week contract. The hospital is Magnet designated, uses Cerner charting and has a 1:2 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome and the unit serves adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics and geriatrics.

• Monitor postoperative patients in recovery
• Assess airway, pain and vital signs
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Prepare patients for safe discharge
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams
• Document care in Cerner
• Provide culturally sensitive nursing care

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications
• 1 year of PACU experience
• PACU Phase 1 experience
• 1:2 patient ratio experience

• CPAN/CAPA certification
• Trauma Level II experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Cerner charting experience
