Travel PACU RN in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel PACU Registered Nurse will provide post-anesthetic care in an acute care hospital outpatient preop and PACU unit on a 13-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit cares for outpatient surgery patients across phase I and phase II recovery with Epic charting, four rooms, and an average daily census of 10. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform pre-op assessments and review histories and physicals
• Monitor patients through phase I and phase II recovery
• Start and maintain IVs and administer ordered medications
• Support infusion therapy, sedation monitoring, and reversal agents
• Assess pain, airway status, labs, and cardiac rhythms
• Provide discharge teaching and follow-up call support

• California Registered Nurse license, pending accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• 1 year of PACU experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Pediatric PACU experience
• Monitored Anesthesia Care and nerve block support
• Central line, PICC, and port management
• Recovery care for ENT, orthopedic, ophthalmology, and urology cases
