A Per Diem PACU Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide recovery care in a hospital PACU in Irvine, California. The unit supports post-operative orthopedic and total joint patients, with focused monitoring and discharge preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and track vital signs
- Assess pain, nausea, airway status and recovery progress
- Administer ordered medications and IV therapies
- Support recovery for orthopedic and total joint cases
- Prepare patients for discharge from the PACU
- Document assessments, interventions and handoff communication
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- PACU post-anesthesia recovery skills
- Total joint case experience
- Strong post-operative assessment and recovery skills
