Travel PACU RN in Everett, WA

A Travel PACU Registered Nurse will provide post-anesthesia care in an acute care hospital in Everett, Washington for a 13-week contract. The unit has 29 bays, cares for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients, and uses Epic charting in a level II trauma setting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor patients in phase I recovery after anesthesia and spinal procedures
• Assess airway, pain, sedation and neurologic status during recovery
• Administer IV medications, vasopressors, reversal agents and analgesics as ordered
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, airway changes and hemodynamic instability
• Support recovery for pediatric, adult and geriatric surgical patients
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams for post-op and pre-op needs

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• 1 year of PACU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Airway assessment, dysrhythmia recognition and management, and ventilated patient care
• Phase I PACU, arterial line, spinal and post-epidural recovery skills

• PALS certification
• Monitored Anesthesia Care experience
• Level II trauma experience
