Travel OR RN in Indianapolis, IN

A Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse will support circulating and scrub functions in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Indianapolis, Indiana. The unit serves adolescents, adults and geriatrics, with about 70 to 80 cases and 24 beds. Cerner charting is used in a teaching hospital with high-acuity surgical care.

• Circulate for general and specialty operating room cases
• Prepare rooms, supplies and equipment for surgery
• Maintain sterile technique and Universal Protocol
• Assist with specimen handling and blood product administration
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia and the perioperative team
• Document care in Cerner
• Support charge duties within scope when assigned

• Indiana or compact Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 3 years of operating room experience
• Circulating experience in complex surgical cases
• Teaching hospital experience
• Cerner charting system experience

• Previous charge experience
• Scrub experience
• Experience with complex specialty surgical cases
