Travel Oncology RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Oncology Chemotherapy Certified Registered Nurse will provide inpatient oncology care in a hospital for an 18 week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, with an average daily census of 21, 22 rooms, a 1:4 ratio, and Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Administer chemotherapy and supportive medications per treatment plan
• Monitor patients receiving cancer therapies and respond to lab changes and symptoms
• Manage central lines, ports, PICC lines, and blood product therapy
• Maintain neutropenic precautions and infection prevention practices
• Provide education and support to patients and families
• Assess for infusion reactions, extravasation, and other treatment complications

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ONS or ONCC chemotherapy certification
• Epic charting experience
• Inpatient oncology nursing experience
• Central line, port, and PICC care skills

• CAR-T and autologous stem cell transplant experience
• Immunotherapy and cytotoxic therapy experience
• Phlebotomy, IV access, and cytotoxic spill management skills
