Travel Oncology RN in Plano, TX

A Travel Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse will provide bedside care to surgical oncology patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Plano, Texas. The unit has 30 beds, uses Meditech, and commonly cares for patients with a 1:5 to 1:6 ratio. Equipment includes infusion pumps, SCDs, and glucose monitoring tools.

• Administer medications and monitor treatment responses
• Assist with chest tube, NGT, and Foley management
• Assess surgical oncology patients and report changes
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document nursing care in the electronic record
• Use infusion pumps, SCDs, and point-of-care glucose testing

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Strong communication and empathy skills

• IV insertion
• Chemotherapy experience
