Travel Oncology RN in Independence, MO

A Travel Oncology Registered Nurse will provide care for med-surg, oncology, and hospice patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Independence, Missouri. The unit cares for up to 36 patients with a 1:6 ratio and uses Meditech for charting. It also accepts hemodynamically stable patients needing cardiac monitoring.

• Assess and monitor medical oncology, hospice, and med-surg patients
• Coordinate care for hemodynamically stable patients with cardiac monitoring needs
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Assist with wound vac care, drain management, and tube procedures
• Support Foley and NG insertion and removal
• Document patient care in Meditech
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and care coordinators

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Team-oriented, positive, patient-centered approach
• Comfort in a busy med-surg environment
