Travel Oncology RN in West Hollywood, CA

A Travel Oncology Registered Nurse will provide ambulatory oncology care in a clinic setting for a 13-week contract in West Hollywood, California. The role serves pediatric to geriatric oncology patients across hematology oncology and solid tumor clinics and uses Epic charting.

• Assess oncology patients and complete nursing interventions
• Triage clinic calls and coordinate patient flow
• Review new patient records for physician review
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and side effects
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections
• Manage CADD pumps and access or de-access ports
• Assist with minor in-office surgical procedures and wound care

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of ambulatory oncology Registered Nurse experience
• Oncology assessment, telephone triage, and port care skills
• Acute oncology complication management, including tumor lysis syndrome, sepsis, anaphylaxis, and spinal cord compression

• Chemotherapy certification or OCN certification
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Epic charting system experience
