Travel Oncology RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Oncology Registered Nurse will provide inpatient oncology nursing care in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, has 46 beds, and uses Epic. It is a Magnet hospital with Level II trauma status, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Administer chemotherapy and supportive medications
• Manage ports, central lines, and PICC access
• Monitor blood products, labs, and treatment tolerance
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Maintain neutropenic, isolation, and cytotoxic spill precautions
• Perform IV starts, wound care, and other bedside nursing care

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification
• 1 year of oncology nursing experience
• Chemotherapy administration, port care, and blood product administration skills

• 2 years of oncology nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
