Travel Occupational Therapist in Waimea, HI

A Travel Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients in a hospital setting on a 13-week contract in Waimea, Hawaii. The role supports inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, with ADL, ROM, strength, and function assessments and treatment planning.

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patient function using ADL, ROM, strength, and outcome measures
• Develop and implement occupational therapy plans of care under physician referral
• Provide treatment to improve daily living skills, upper extremity function, sensory integration, and psychosocial function
• Fabricate, fit, and teach self-help devices and orthotics as needed
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary staff on screenings, care plans, and discharge follow-up
• Document treatments, patient teaching, and care coordination accurately
• Educate patients, families, and staff on occupational therapy recommendations

• Active Hawaii Occupational Therapist license
• BLS/BCLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
• Strong assessment, documentation, and care coordination skills
