Travel Occupational Therapist in Alpena, MI

A Travel Occupational Therapist will provide outpatient rehabilitation services in a hospital setting for a 13-week contract in Alpena, Michigan. The role uses assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to support patient function and education while working with occupational therapist assistants and aides.

• Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing
• Develop treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient tolerance
• Document treatment plans and update care plans as patient status changes
• Coordinate treatment frequency and duration with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Educate patients and caregivers on condition, prognosis, and therapeutic interventions
• Supervise occupational therapist assistants, home health aides, and students as allowed

• Michigan Occupational Therapist license
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Core occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills
