Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates and infants in a 54-bed neonatal intensive care unit on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit uses Epic and serves a complex population with ventilator support, cardiac anomalies, and therapeutic cooling.

• Monitor neonates and infants with complex respiratory, cardiac, and neurologic needs
• Manage ventilator support, nitric oxide therapy, and CPAP/BiPAP support
• Administer IV fluids, drips, vasopressors, and medication calculations
• Perform admissions, lab draws, IV starts, and line care
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, and chest tube procedures
• Provide wound, ostomy, trach, and post-op care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• Epic charting experience
• Neonatal dosage calculations, high frequency ventilation, tracheostomy care, and central line management

• Level IV NICU experience
