Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for critically ill neonates and infants in a neonatal intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit has a census of 54, uses Epic, and serves patients with complex respiratory and cardiac needs in a level III setting.

• Monitor critically ill neonates and infants on advanced ventilatory support
• Titrate IV fluids, drips, and vasoactive medications
• Perform admissions, assessments, and ongoing neonatal documentation
• Draw labs, start IVs, and manage central line care
• Assist with intubation, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placement
• Provide postoperative, cooling therapy, ostomy, and wound care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending
• BLS and NRP certification
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting experience
• Neonatal critical care skills with ventilator management, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and hemodynamic support
• Neonatal dosage calculations, phlebotomy, IV starts, and line, airway, and procedure-assist skills
• Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate

• Level IV NICU experience
