Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates and infants in a level III NICU on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 54-bed unit uses Epic and manages complex respiratory, cardiac, and neurologic cases. Typical ICU ratios are 1:1 or 1:2.

• Deliver care for critically ill neonates and infants
• Monitor ventilators, oxygen support, and hemodynamic status
• Administer IV fluids, drips, and medications
• Support admissions, postoperative recovery, and therapeutic cooling
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, and line procedures
• Perform lab draws, wound care, chest tube care, and tracheostomy care

• BLS, NRP, and Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending Virginia licensure
• 2 years of level III NICU experience and 1:3 patient ratio experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Neonatal dosage calculations, dysrhythmia interpretation, and phlebotomy
• High frequency and conventional ventilator management, nitric oxide, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, UAC/UVC care, central line care, IV vasopressors, IV therapy, lumbar puncture assistance, post abdominal surgery care, colostomy/ileostomy care, and therapeutic hypothermia
