Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide care for neonates and infants in a level III unit on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves a complex neonatal population, uses Epic charting, and supports advanced respiratory and critical care needs.

• Provide bedside care for neonates and infants with complex medical needs
• Manage ventilator support, CPAP/BiPAP, high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy
• Administer IV fluids, drips and vasopressors while monitoring hemodynamic status
• Assist with admissions, post-op care and therapeutic hypothermia
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, line care, wound care and ostomy care
• Support procedures including intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement and chest tube care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending accepted
• BLS and NRP certifications
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Neonatal dosage calculations and IV therapy skills
• Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate

• Level IV NICU experience
