Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will care for neonates and infants in a NICU on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit has 54 beds, uses Epic, and commonly staffs 1:1 to 1:3 assignments. It serves extremely premature and medically complex newborns with respiratory, cardiac, and neurologic needs.

• Manage neonates and infants on high frequency and conventional ventilators
• Support IV fluid therapy, vasoactive drips, and medication calculations
• Perform admissions, IV starts, and heel or venous blood draws
• Provide wound, drain, line, ostomy, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, and umbilical line care
• Monitor therapeutic hypothermia and interpret ABGs

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, with pending license accepted
• BLS and NRP
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting experience
• Neonatal critical care skills in ventilation, line care, and medication calculations
• Infant-driven feeding certificate

• Level IV NICU experience
