Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide bedside care in a neonatal intensive care unit on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit cares for neonates and infants with complex respiratory, cardiac, and neurologic conditions and uses Epic. High-acuity respiratory support and therapeutic cooling are part of the setting.

• Provide bedside care for neonates and infants with complex medical and surgical needs
• Manage ventilator support, CPAP/BiPAP, and nitric oxide therapies
• Monitor IV fluids, drips, hemodynamics, and medication dosing
• Perform admissions, lab draws, IV starts, and line care
• Support therapeutic cooling, post-op recovery, and chest tube care
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, and umbilical line procedures

• BLS and NRP certifications
• Current Virginia Registered Nurse license or pending
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• High-frequency ventilation, ventilator management, nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia skills
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate

• Level IV NICU experience
