Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a NICU for a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves neonates and infants, has an average daily census of 54, and uses Epic charting.

• Provide bedside care for critically ill neonates and infants
• Manage ventilator support, including high-frequency and conventional modes
• Titrate IV fluids and drips, and support hemodynamic stability
• Perform admissions, assessments, and post-op cardiac care
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, line placement, and chest tube procedures
• Complete lab draws, line care, wound care, ostomy care, and therapeutic cooling

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• Neonatal critical care skills in ventilator management, IV therapy, line care, and dosage calculations

• Level IV NICU experience
