Travel NICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide critical care for neonates and infants in a 54-bed NICU on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit cares for neonates and infants with complex respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, and surgical needs and uses Epic charting. It is a 54-bed unit with high-acuity newborn care.

• Monitor critically ill neonates and infants
• Manage ventilator and respiratory support
• Administer IV fluids, drips, and vasoactive support
• Provide admissions, postoperative, and whole-body cooling care
• Collect labs and perform bedside blood draws
• Support central lines, drains, wounds, ostomies, and chest tubes
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, and umbilical line procedures

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending accepted
• BLS and NRP
• Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• 2 years of Level III NICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Neonatal critical care skills in ventilation, line care, phlebotomy, medication calculation, and therapeutic hypothermia

• NICU IV experience
