Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon on a 13-week contract. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, averages 20 patients daily, and uses Epic. Typical ratios are 1:3 or 1:4.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Assess adults and geriatrics with medical-surgical needs
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and cardiac drips
• Manage oxygen, airway support, feeding tubes, and lines
• Provide wound care and post cardiac procedure monitoring
• Coordinate care with rapid response, respiratory, therapy, and pharmacy teams

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, and IV therapy skills

• Cardiac drip management
• IV start and maintenance
• Tracheostomy care and traumatic brain injury experience
• Teaching hospital experience
