Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Maryville, TN

A Travel Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Maryville, Tennessee. The adult and geriatric unit has an average daily census of 30, uses Epic, and supports ratios of 1:6 to 1:7. First-time travelers are welcome based on experience.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Administer medications and blood products
• Provide post-cardiac catheterization care
• Assist with bedside procedures and line care
• Start and maintain IV access
• Manage oxygen therapy and isolation precautions
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary support teams

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS
• 1 year of medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• 1 year of Epic experience
• Blood product administration, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV start and maintenance
• Oxygen therapy, peripheral line care and isolation precautions

• Central line care and management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Cardiac drip management without titration
• Wound care and wound vac care
• Pre- and post-hemodialysis care
• Port access and PICC management
