Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Maryville, TN

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide adult and geriatric care in an orthopedic surgery unit at an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Maryville, Tennessee. The unit averages 15-20 patients daily, has 30 beds, and uses EPIC charting with Omnicell medication support.

• Assess adult and geriatric patients with med-surg and telemetry needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and report changes in condition
• Administer medications and support blood product administration
• Start and maintain IV access and manage peripheral lines
• Provide postoperative nursing care for orthopedic surgery patients
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support teams

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license or multistate license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• 1 year of EPIC experience
• Telemetry monitoring, IV starts, peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Prior travel nursing experience

• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience
• Orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, bariatric surgery, and short-stay care
• Port access, PICC management, central line blood draws, ostomy care, feeding tube care, and charge experience
