Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Maryville, TN

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults on a 13-week contract in an acute care hospital in Maryville, Tennessee. The 28-bed unit serves patients with higher oxygen needs, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac cath recovery, and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers may be considered based on experience.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Support adults with dialysis needs, higher oxygen demands, and post-cardiac cath recovery
• Administer prescribed oxygen therapies and noninvasive respiratory support
• Manage cardiac drips without titration and support heparin protocols
• Perform IV starts, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Assist with wound care, feeding tubes, and isolation precautions
• Coordinate with respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and rapid response staff

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 1 year of Med Surg/Tele experience
• 1 year of Epic experience
• BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, ABG interpretation, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, IV starts, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management without titration, feeding tube care, wound care, wound vac, and pre/post hemodialysis support

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Pre/post cardiac cath, post MI, and post cardiac angiogram support
• Chest tubes, CBI, pacemaker care, TR Band use, and tracheostomy management
• Community hospital experience and rapid response team support
