Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a hospital medical surgical unit in Lubbock, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 30-bed unit manages postoperative colorectal, Whipple, bariatric surgery, and trauma cases, uses Epic charting, and supports a 1:5-6 ratio in a level II trauma hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide direct care for medical and surgical patients
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies
• Monitor postoperative recovery, respiratory status, and pain control
• Assist with wound care, drains, feeding tubes, and ostomy care
• Support tracheostomy, noninvasive airway, and oxygen therapy care
• Collaborate with rapid response and interdisciplinary teams

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications
• 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Medical surgical and telemetry nursing skills
• Bariatric, postoperative, wound, airway, and line care skills

• Telemetry experience
• Port access and management
