Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Houston, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for patients in an inpatient holding unit in Houston, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 14-bed unit has a 1:6 ratio, uses Meditech Expanse, and supports cardiac monitoring, vital sign checks, and IV therapy in an acute care hospital.

• Assess and monitor patients in the inpatient hold unit
• Administer medications and IV therapy
• Perform IV insertion, lab draws, and Foley catheter insertion
• Track cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Coordinate care with the nursing team and support patient flow
• Document assessments and interventions in the electronic record

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Strong assessment, IV therapy, and documentation skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• Acute care experience
• ICU experience
• Trauma facility experience
