Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Decatur, TX

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a hospital in Decatur, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit uses remote telemetry and capnography, with patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1 and Allscripts charting. It serves surgical, abdominal, and orthopedic recovery patients.

• Monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes
• Assess medical-surgical patients and update care plans
• Administer medications, fluids, and IV therapies
• Support post-operative care for abdominal and orthopedic patients
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Document care and communicate changes with the team

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Med Surg and telemetry experience
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills

• Cardiac recognition
