Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide adult orthopedic trauma and postoperative care in a short-term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The 30-bed unit uses Epic, averages 28 patients daily, and serves adults with fractures, amputations, joint replacements, and intermittent COVID cases.

• Assess and monitor adult med surg and telemetry patients
• Interpret rhythms and report changes promptly
• Administer blood products and support phlebotomy needs
• Manage wound vacs, traction, oxygen therapy, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Provide post-op care, mobility support, and pressure injury prevention
• Maintain isolation precautions and assist with rapid response needs
• Complete peripheral line care and non-invasive airway support

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, wound care, and ortho trauma skills
• Prior travel experience
