Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for neuro medical/surgical patients on a 30-bed unit in Austin, Texas for a 13-week contract. The unit uses telemetry monitoring and Meditech charting. Ratios are 1:5, with stroke care and virtual sitter support.

• Monitor telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Provide nursing care for neuro medical/surgical patients
• Perform assessments, medication administration, and documentation
• Assist with stroke NIH checks, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
• Support safe mobility and use of lift equipment
• Coordinate care with the team and escalate changes promptly

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale competency
• Telemetry and neuro stroke care skills

• ACLS certification
