Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a hospital medical-surgical unit on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 28 beds, uses Meditech, and typically sees 5:1 to 6:1 ratios. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and report changes
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document care in Meditech
• Support patients with epilepsy-related needs
• Use unit equipment to assist with care

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Medical-surgical and telemetry nursing skills
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• 3 years or more nursing experience
• Epilepsy care
