Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for neuro telemetry patients in a hospital on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The 29-bed unit averages 27 patients, uses EPIC, and serves stroke, trauma, epilepsy monitoring, and neurosurgical patients in a Level II trauma hospital and comprehensive stroke center. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and assess rhythm changes
• Perform neurological and cardiac assessments
• Administer oxygen and support airway needs
• Maintain peripheral lines and IV care
• Collaborate with rapid response and therapy teams
• Support patients with stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical needs

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Telemetry and dysrhythmia management skills
• Any charting system experience

• Neuro stepdown experience
• Stroke, seizure, and trauma care experience
• Craniotomy and other neurosurgical experience
• Teaching hospital or Level II trauma experience
