Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care surgery and emergency general surgery unit in Lubbock, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 27-bed unit uses Epic in a short term acute care hospital with Level II trauma support. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess adults with acute surgical and medical-surgical needs
• Monitor telemetry and report changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and oxygen support
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, drains, feeding tubes, and wound care
• Assist with chest tubes, ostomy care, and bowel obstruction treatment
• Coordinate care with rapid response and other support teams

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 1 year of medical-surgical experience
• Epic charting experience
• Skills in IV starts, central line care, blood products, oxygen therapy, and wound care

• Telemetry experience
• Acute care surgery or emergency general surgery experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Post-op or ortho trauma experience
