Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult neuro medical-surgical patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 30 beds, 1:5 ratios, and uses Meditech. Stroke monitoring and virtual sitter support are part of the setting.

• Monitor telemetry and assess for rhythm or neurologic changes
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and routine treatments
• Provide wound care and gastric decompression support
• Assist with stroke care, NIH Stroke Scale checks, and EEG-related care
• Coordinate care with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and the care team
• Document patient status and interventions in the electronic record

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale competency
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
