Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide comfort-focused care to adults and geriatrics in a short term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit has 13 rooms, uses Epic charting, and is in a Level II trauma center. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide comfort-focused nursing care to adults and geriatrics
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and oxygen therapy
• Manage IV access, central lines, and PICC lines
• Document assessments and interventions in Epic
• Support isolation precautions, phlebotomy, and respiratory care needs

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Medical surgical nursing background
• Epic charting system experience
• Blood product administration
• Central line, PICC line, and IV management
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• Accessing and managing ports
• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Palliative care experience
• Wound care and wound vac experience
