Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a short term acute care hospital on a 13 week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit averages 8 patients and supports end of life and comfort care in an Epic charting environment at a Level II trauma center. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and monitor adult and geriatric patients
• Administer medications, blood products, and oxygen therapy
• Manage central lines, PICCs, and peripheral IVs
• Support comfort care and end of life needs
• Document care and patient response in Epic
• Coordinate with respiratory, therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• Med Surg and telemetry clinical skills
• Epic charting system experience
• Blood product administration, central line blood draw, and PICC line management
• Starting and maintaining IVs, oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and isolation precautions and PPE

• ACLS
• Accessing and managing ports
• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Palliative care
• Wound care and wound vac
