Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Lafayette, IN

A Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics on a medical-surgical telemetry unit in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lafayette, Indiana. The unit serves mostly medical patients with a small post-surgical census, uses Cerner, and has a 1:5-6 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Start and maintain IV access
• Assess adults and geriatrics with medical and post-surgical needs
• Administer treatments and coordinate care plans
• Document care in Cerner
• Collaborate with support services and respond to changes in patient status

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• 1.5 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV start and maintenance skills
• Cerner charting system experience
