Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Chattanooga, TN

A Travel Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide inpatient nursing care on a 13-week contract in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This 28-bed unit uses Meditech and supports a patient mix with respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, and telemetry needs.

• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status
• Provide medical-surgical nursing care for patients with complex acute conditions
• Manage care for patients with respiratory, renal, and gastrointestinal diagnoses
• Assist with central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions
• Administer treatments and medications according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, PCTs, and case management
• Document patient care accurately in the charting system

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Medical-surgical and telemetry experience
• Experience with respiratory, renal, and gastrointestinal patient care
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills

• Oncology patient experience
• General surgery patient experience
