Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics on a 12-bed hospital unit during a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit treats respiratory, renal, diabetic, infectious, and cardiac conditions, uses Epic charting, and supports telemetry monitoring and nurse-driven infusions.

• Monitor telemetry trends and respond to dysrhythmias
• Administer heparin and insulin drips per protocol
• Assess patients with respiratory, renal, diabetic, infectious, and cardiac conditions
• Provide wound care and support wound vac therapy
• Care for chest tubes, trachs, and PCA pumps
• Collaborate with respiratory, IV, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and other support teams

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending licensure accepted
• BLS
• 1 year of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, heparin protocol, and IV insulin protocol experience
• Chest tube, PCA, and wound vac care experience

• Charge nurse experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I trauma experience
• Renal failure and tracheostomy care experience
