Travel Med Surg RN in Lander, WY

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide direct and individualized nursing care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lander, Wyoming. The role serves a broad medical-surgical patient mix and may occasionally care for pediatric or adolescent patients.

• Assess patients and coordinate care plans with the health care team
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Document vital signs, care delivered and patient responses
• Change dressings, start IVs and insert catheters as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment and home care needs
• Assist with examinations, treatments and discharge planning
• Respond to urgent changes in patient condition using nursing protocols

• Wyoming Registered Nurse license or multistate Registered Nurse license
• 2 years recent Med Surg Registered Nurse experience in a hospital setting
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong assessment, medication administration and patient education skills
