Travel Med Surg RN in Fort Defiance, AZ

A Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will care for adult geriatric and pediatric patients in a medical-surgical unit during a 16-week contract in Fort Defiance, Arizona. The unit has 20 beds and typically staffs 4:1 for non-COVID patients and 2:1 for COVID patients.

• Assess and monitor adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and carry out ordered treatments
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Document patient status and nursing interventions
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate treatment
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse license
• American Heart Association BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• 3 years of medical-surgical experience
• 1 year of pediatric experience
