Travel Med Surg RN in Excelsior Springs, MO

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients in a critical access hospital medical surgical unit on a 13-week contract in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. The unit serves med/surg, swing bed and post-surgical patients, with an average daily census of 8, 20 rooms and a 5:1 ratio.

• Provide inpatient medical surgical nursing care
• Assess adult and geriatric post-surgical and swing bed patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond to rhythm changes
• Administer medications and support routine treatments
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory, pharmacy and social services
• Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge needs

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of medical surgical experience
• Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills

• ACLS certification
