Travel Med Surg RN in Brevard, NC

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Brevard, North Carolina. The unit uses Cerner, cares for med-surg and higher-acuity patients, and practices team-based care.

• Assess and monitor med-surg and stepdown patients
• Start IVs and assist with central line and arterial line care
• Manage Foley catheters and wound care
• Monitor EKG rhythms and report changes in condition
• Use infusion pumps, SCDs, glucometers, and lift equipment as needed
• Document care in Cerner and coordinate with the care team

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification before the end of orientation

• ICU or stepdown experience
• 1 year of med-surg experience
