Travel Med Surg RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for orthopedic and general surgical patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The 32-bed unit uses Meditech and cares for postoperative neurosurgery and fracture-repair patients.

• Provide care for medical-surgical orthopedic patients
• Monitor postoperative recovery and changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy and wound care
• Assist with mobility, tubes, drains and routine bedside needs
• Support traction, PCA pumps and wound vacs
• Coordinate with nurses and support staff to maintain safe care

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Acute care experience
• Medical-surgical experience

• Meditech charting experience
