Travel Maternal-Newborn RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Maternal-Newborn Registered Nurse will provide postpartum and antepartum care in a mother-baby unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 30-bed unit supports rooming in, level II nursery care, and Epic charting.

• Assess postpartum, antepartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor fundus, lochia, incision, and newborn status
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Support vaginal and cesarean recovery and breastfeeding education
• Assist with circumcision care, phototherapy, car seat trials, and discharge teaching
• Provide newborn assessment, thermoregulation, and couplet care

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending accepted at start
• BLS and NRP
• 1 year of maternal-newborn or mother-baby experience
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with postpartum, antepartum, and newborn care

• ACLS
• NCC EFM certification
• High-risk antepartum care and fetal monitoring experience
• Car seat education and neonatal abstinence syndrome experience
